Temple offers various options to make your education affordable. Financing your education

Financing your education will consist of multiple funding sources. These sources may include grants, scholarships, and/or loans. A high academic achieving student may be eligible for Merit Scholarship to help offset full or partial tuition cost. However, not all students are eligible for a Merit Scholarship. Temple University recognizes that a student may require financial assistance with covering the total cost of attendance

To begin your financial aid eligibility, start by completing the FAFSA application. Temple University will receive your FAFSA application and the information will be evaluated for funding options. The amount of federal or state grants you receive will be based on the expected family contribution as determined by your FAFSA application. In addition, Temple University may award additional grants based on financial needs as determined by your FAFSA application.

All undergraduate students are evaluated for academic Merit Scholarship eligibility. Merit Scholarships may cover full or partial tuition for the academic year. However, students are encouraged to apply for additional scholarships to help offset their cost of attendance. Additional scholarship opportunities based on a wide variety of criteria are available within Temple University and outside sources.

Veterans or their dependents may be eligible to use military education benefits towards their educational expense. Students applying for benefits should begin the process with the the Veterans Affairs (VA). Students transferring to Temple University should update the school, program and other information by following the steps on the Veterans Affairs website. In addition to receiving military education benefits, students should complete a FAFSA to ensure they receive all eligible funds.

Some students (or family members) borrow money in the form of a loans to further offset the total cost of attendance. Upon filing a FAFSA, the student automatically becomes eligible for a federal loan option. In addition to federal loans, the student or a family member may seek loans through a private lending agency.
